Description:
The conference is scheduled to begin Friday, September 19 through Sunday, September 21, 2008 and will offer 9 hours of CME/CE approved continuing education credit. We anticipate attendance of approximately 200 physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians’ assistants, coordinators and data managers. The conference will be held at the Lake Arrowhead Conference Center in Lake Arrowhead, California.
Mission Statement:
It is TORI’s mission to bring translational research of novel therapeutic agents and advances in cancer treatments from the scientists and investigators at the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center to our community Network practices. The UCLA/TORI Research Network Conference is a comprehensive three-day event that covers the novel therapeutic areas of Breast Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, Renal Cell Carcinoma in Oncology as well as other research targets. In addition, potential new targets and current treatment will be reviewed.
Objectives:
Current Status and Future Directions in Lung Cancer
New Approaches to the Treatment of Receptor-Positive Breast Cancers
Current and Future Treatments in Ovarian Cancer
Novel Agents in Phase I Clinical Trials
Research and Treatment Options in Advanced Lymphoma
Needs Assessment:
We have learned through experience that the annual conference is an integral part of our communication & updates. It is a chance for all members of the Network, from the various national locations, to discuss their results with current studies while also learning about the advances in research in our labs.
