  1. Describe the new American Diabetes Association position statement concerning the treatment choices for type 2 diabetes
  2. Identify the current approach to drug therapy for patients with type 2 diabetes including complications of Sulfonylurea therapy
  3. Define the metabolic changes that occur in patients with type 2 Diabetes
  4. Discuss the Relationship between type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease and to review data on the impact of insulin and other current therapies on cardiovascular outcomes
