The Institute for Medical Educationsm is a fully accredited medical communication/education company devoted exclusively to designing, developing, and implementing quality continuing medical education conferences and programs that are in compliance with standards of the California Medical Association and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. To accomplish this, we take the necessary steps to insure that our cme courses are authoritative, up-to-date, and professionally sound. We believe that physicians have a responsibility to be informed about current developments in the medical field, and we provide the tools to make this a reality.


The Institute for Medical Educationsm provides interesting, cutting edge educational programs with speakers who are experts in their field of medical practice. Because of our campus location and close relationship with UCLA, we can include in our distinguished speakers bureau many UCLA faculty members who possess a unique knowledge in their medical specialty and have a proven ability to teach.


The Institute for Medical Educationsm is well positioned to meet the CME needs of the entire medical community as well as ancillary medical professions. All members of the CME planning committee hold appointments on the full time or clinical faculty of the UCLA School of Medicine. This nationally recognized research and teaching facility allows access to the latest medical developments and breakthroughs. All members of the CME committee have, in addition, proven teaching skill and are recognized as thought leaders in the medical profession. All branches of medicine are represented on the CME board of directors including internal medicine, surgery, family medicine, OB/GYN and pediatrics. These unique qualities allow The Institute for Medical Educationsm to stand apart from the traditional medical communication/education company. We have produced and co-organized CME conferences and seminars with the UCLA Office of Continuing Medical Education, the UCLA Division of Cardiology, the UCLA Division of Internal Medicine, and the UCLA Division of Family Medicine since 1989. In addition,The Institute for Medical Educationsm has independently produced and sponsored continuing medical education seminars for physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, registered dietitians, and social workers. We have produced seminars which include such hi-tech multimedia as computerized audience response systems and satellite/ microwave live broadcasts of surgeries from the UCLA operating suites. The Institute for Medical Educationsm has also produced high impact enduring materials in audio, video and CD-ROM formats.
